The first visit for a new adult patient involves a comprehensive oral health evaluation. The emphasis of this appointment is the determination of future dental needs, the creation of a treatment plan when indicated, and an assessment of the patient's periodontal health. Past dental history, expectations, and desired dental outcomes are all reviewed. Digital X-rays are taken, plaque samples are gathered, and an oral cancer-screening exam is completed as well as a thorough examination of the entire dentition and the oral cavity. We use an intra-oral camera during each new client exam - thereby offering a unique "tour" of the mouth.
